Ali Massie is a freelance writer, digital creator and wine lover based in Beaune, France.
She holds an MSc in Wine and Spirits Management from KEDGE Business School, Bordeaux as well as a BA in Psychology and Business from the University of Victoria, British Columbia.
Ali was born in a small coastal town on Vancouver Island, BC. To pay tuition for University she worked simultaneously as a server and at a local wine shop. During this time she fell down the rabbit hole of wine studies—completing both her WSET 3 and French Wine Scholar certifications. She followed this love of wine to France to pursue graduate studies. Following this she took a practical crash course in winemaking completing harvests in the Okanagan Valley, Chambolle-Musigny, Mornington Peninsula and Pommard. Along the way, she met her French husband, who just happens to be a winemaker.
